VNC® Connect 7 is here!
This major release is full of under-the-hood improvements that pave the way for the host of exciting future releases and functionality we have coming this year, and beyond.
In addition to our work behind the scenes, this initial release includes:
- Native support for Macs with M1/M2 chips
- Change to offline license formatting
On top of that, we’ve also introduced:
- A new name for Instant Support – On-Demand Assist
Our new free Lite plan (complete with high-speed streaming and up to 256-bit encryption)

The all-new Lite subscription
Our free (for non-commercial use) plan has had a complete makeover. Our new Lite plan replaces our old Home subscription and now gives individuals users faster connections and stronger security options.

Access up to 3 managed devices
Native support for Apple’s M1 & M2 chip
We’ve added native support for Macs with the M1 and M2 chips, meaning you no longer need to use Rosetta to run VNC® Viewer and VNC® Server. Happy days.
Changes to offline licensing
From VNC® Connect 7.x, we’re changing the way offline licenses are formatted.
If you’re currently using offline licensing, your existing VNC Connect 6.x licenses will continue to work up until their expiry date.

On-Demand Assist – the new name for Instant Support
Our Instant Support feature has had a change of name. The functionality is exactly the same as before, it just known as On-Demand Assist now.
